Two-part
One sliding and one fixed pane, or both sliding. The usual choice for openings up to around three and a half metres.
Aluminium glazing 20 Years' Experience 5.0★ Google Reviews
Bigger panes of glass, slimmer frames and nothing folding into the room. The door to choose when you will mostly be looking through it.
Aluminium glazing
A sliding door runs one or more large panels past a fixed pane, or past each other, on a track. Because nothing folds, the frames can be much slimmer than a bifold's and each pane of glass much bigger — so when the doors are shut, which in a Welsh winter is most of the time, you see the garden rather than the aluminium.
The trade-off is that a slider never opens the full width. A two-part door opens roughly half; three- and four-part layouts open more. If you want the whole back of the house open in summer, a bifold is the better choice. If you want the view all year round, a slider usually is.
We survey the opening, agree the threshold and track detail with you, and fit sliding systems from Origin and Cortizo, made to measure for your opening.
Options
One sliding and one fixed pane, or both sliding. The usual choice for openings up to around three and a half metres.
Wider openings, with panels sliding behind a fixed pane or meeting in the middle. More opening width without losing the slim sightlines.
The vertical where the panels meet is the part you look at most. The systems we fit keep it narrow — we can show you sample sections before you order.
A flush or near-flush track for level access onto the patio, with drainage detailed at survey so rain has somewhere to go.
Double or triple glazed, toughened throughout. Large panes are heavy, so delivery and lifting are planned before fitting day.
Anthracite, black, white or any RAL colour, with dual-colour frames if you want a lighter shade inside.

How a job runs
Send the quote form, ring or message us on WhatsApp. Five minutes is usually enough to know whether it is a repair, a replacement or a bigger job.
Carl surveys the job personally — every opening measured, lintels, sills and ventilation checked — then you get a written price. Free, and with nobody ringing you afterwards to chase it.
Frames are made to your sizes, then fitted on an agreed date. Dust sheets down, one opening at a time, and the house watertight and secure before we leave each evening.
Every opening tried, every lock keyed, every bead checked with you there. Then the paperwork, the guarantee and the number to ring if anything ever moves.

Questions
Very wide. Individual panels can be well over two metres, and multi-panel systems can run across most extensions. The deciding factors are glass weight, the structure above and access to get the panels in — we tell you what is practical at survey.
They tend to be, because there are fewer frame joints and more of the area is high-performance glass. Both are thermally broken and both will meet current Building Regulations.
Usually. If the opening stays the same size it is a straight swap. If it is being widened, the lintel will need assessing and possibly replacing — we flag that at survey.
Very little. Keep the track clear of grit and leaves, and rinse the frames a couple of times a year — more often if you live close to the sea.
